Destructive Forces in the Crucible
In The Crucible, playwright Arthur Miller depicts a level of very engaging forces every typical person bathroom possess. He illustrates a personation of traits people halt tough due to the Salem enchantress Trials. An analysis of the attributes shows themes of, jealousy, cupidity, and avenging. Over the years, rapaciousness has made individuals desire for more than than they truly need. It has made guileless people corrupt and unreasonable and it slowly cripples our generation today. In terms of The Crucible, there ar many examples to back up the case of greed. For one, Abigail shows a spectacular amount of lust and greed when she willingly accuses Elizabeth Proctor of witchery just to marry John. As show in the text, Abigail states, She is colour my name in the resolution! She is telling lies about me! She is a cold sniveling woman, and you crimp to her! Â Though Abigail pick outs these claims, she is falsely accusive her because she envies her and Johns relati onship. Another supporting busy for greed is the manner lofty Parris portrays when he is more relate with his reputation rather than the wellbeing of Salem. As Reverend Parris states in the first scene, There is a conclave that is sworn to require me from my pulpit. Do you understand that? Â He is informing Abigail that he is unhinged about his status as reverend and could possibly be driven from a faction causing him to lose his position. As well as the warm desire for greed in The Crucible, there is also a firm craving for vengeance also.\nVengeance has become the substructure for the basis of peoples judgments and conclusions. They feel as if they do not have some type of closure, they cannot make peace with whatever has disobeyed them. In relation to the play, it can be shown that Putnams use of vengeance over Rebecca Nurse due to the conclusion of their seven children. As doubting Thomas Putnam pleas in the text, he states, For finish, shes supercharged! For marve lous and supernatural murder of Goody Putnams babies....
